Overview: Almost every paragraph of the Quality System Regulation states that manufacturers shall "establish" procedures. Almost every paragraph of the Quality System Regulation states that manufacturers shall "establish" procedures.
Well written SOPs that are easy to understand and follow are necessary to accomplish that objective. Excellent SOPs need more than just subject matter.
This webinar will help you to write complete, clear, unambiguous, and flexible SOPs. You will learn techniques for creating concise and easy to read SOPs that your employees can understand and will follow. Well written SOPs result in more consistent process outputs and quality results.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are a critical ingredient in an effective and efficient Quality Management System. SOPs are typically one of the first things an investigator asks for in an inspection. Well written SOPs send a message to the FDA and Notified Bodies that your QMS is complete, accurate, and followed.
More importantly, well written SOPs ensure that your personnel can consistently and accurately follow your processes resulting in correct outcomes, quality work, and predictable results.

Overview: This webinar is not a project management certification course. It is designed to provide the non-project manager with the tools / techniques necessary to assist in achieving a result or deliverable to achieve that end, and document the activity over time. This webinar is not a project management certification course. It is designed to provide the non-project manager with the tools / techniques necessary to assist in achieving a result or deliverable to achieve that end, and document the activity over time.

It will provide valuable guidance to regulated companies in development and implementation of Project Management Planning and Techniques for new product development, regulatory compliance audit responses, proof of "progress against plan", and other activities requiring a planned documented rationale. Three of the most common tools will be discussed.

Common varients such as "dashboards" will also be presented. A very simple approach using common Excel- or Word-type PC applications programs that can be used immediately will be highlighted. Regular use of a few simple but powerful tools will virtually eliminate "fire fighting" in a new project. Regular use can contribute greatly to reduction of scheduling uncertainty, incomplete projects when time is running out, increased product liability, assist in company-wide cost reduction efforts, with less chance of recalls, and an improved bottom line.

Overview: Human error is known to be the primary cause of quality and production losses in many industries.

Human error is known to be the primary cause of quality and production losses in many industries. Although it is unlikely that human error will ever be eliminated, many human performance problems can be prevented. Human errors start at the design stage.

From procedures, training, and workplace environment many variables that affect human behavior CAN be manipulated reducing the likelihood of these occurrences. When working with these challenges, it is imperative to understand human behavior and the psychology of error as well as understand exactly where the weaknesses of the system are so that they can be improved and fixed.

This course offers practical approaches and tools to address human performance issues in GMP related environments by using a particular methodology to correct, prevent and avoid reoccurrence of these matters.

Ginette Collazo, Ph. D. is an Industrial-Organizational Psychologist with 20 years of experience that specializes in Engineering Psychology and Human Reliability, disciplines that study the interaction between human behavior and productivity. She has held positions leading training and human reliability programs in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Manufacturing Industry.

Nine years ago, Dr. Collazo established Human Error Solutions (HES), a Florida based boutique consulting firm, where she has been able to position herself as one of the few Human Error Reduction Experts in the world. HES, led by Dr. Collazo, developed a unique methodology for human error investigations, cause determination, CA-PA development and effectiveness that has been implemented and proven amongst different industries globally. This scientific method has been applied in critical quality situations and workplace accidents.

She is the author of the book Human Error: Root Cause Determination Model, published in 2008. She is also a speaker at significant events like Interphex, FDAnews Annual Conference, Global Conference on Process Safety, International Conference on Applied Human Factors and Ergonomics, and of course, Pharmaceutical Industry Association.
